I have some experience. I did it on the side of my rentals for a short period of time. Not to say you can't be successful, but I would agree with your challenges and the big reason I got out of it was time and the low barriers for entry. I have some friends who have started trash can cleaning services/pressure washing services targeting 55+ neighborhoods. I think cleaning is a good business if you are doing the work, but to make money you have to do it. Every person you hire cuts into your profitability unless you find ways to charge more money.
