Does anyone have experience with regional banks?

I am intent on buying and growing a US business, however, I am a Canadian and do not have a green card.

Which alternatives I should consider since an SBA loan is not an option for me?

I'm told regional banks can help with acquisition financing on a conventional basis...

I want to interview both US and CA lenders to help finance the acquisition of a US business. SBA is not an option since I'm Canadian 🍁 and I don't have a green card.
