Does anyone have experience with pool routes - particularly in Texas?

Looking to start a pool cleaning business and acquire a route in the Texas area, preferably North Dallas. Would love to connect with someone who has experience in the space to discuss pricing, growth, strategy, etc. Also, I've been told that having a reliable repair tech is essential as repairs are frequent and necessary - is it possible to find reliable subcontracts / third-party repair techs and not have one on staff?

I did some diligence on some a couple years ago. Great business, but seems harder than expected to scale. Single operators seem to dominate due to better pricing and service. Employees really hard to keep cause if they are any good they just start their own.

but I still think it’s a great model if you can make it work. I’d recommend finding a revenue share program so the team feels the “own” the route.
