I'm particularly curious about methodologies for quantifying current vs. future value potential for Medical Device IP as is relates to a consumer product business model. Are there best practices for distinguishing the individual value of the holdings in an patent portfolio (or such an effort too granular to be worthwhile) and how should such portfolios affect company valuation at-large? Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated!
