In the process of reviewing a construction company with a 3+ generation of background. If you have any experience or acquisitions in this space, I would love to get some insights on key aspects of your evaluation. This one is more focused on the custom housing and commercial development with an EBITDA of about a $1M.

Goes without saying but look into their reputation by reviewing past projects and client reviews. Make sure they're financially healthy by examining their cash flow, debt, and profitability. Confirm they have the proper licenses and certifications, and take a look at their safety record since that's a big deal in construction. Make sure to chat with some previous clients to get a feel for their work quality and client satisfaction. This should give you a good idea of what you're dealing with!

We have a lot of M&A experience on our team (rollups and 1-off, buy-side and sell-side) and have done work with family businesses. I can get you on a call with someone on our team if you'd like. redacted know some CFOs (not on our team) that are construction focused...not sure about their M&A experience but I'm happy to pass on your info if you reach out.
