For context, I am looking for any of the following cleaning businesses:

Residential cleaning

Junk removal

Commercial cleaning

Industrial Debris removal

Hotel temp cleaning

I am just starting out in my SMB acquisition journey and would definitely appreciate any pointers in getting started. I am specifically targeting the Northern Virginia area. Feel free to leave a comment or DM if you'd like to chat!

Most businesses will do a mix of residential & commercial cleaning. Facility services/janitorial may often be a little bit different, because it requires a different operating structure (e.g., facility service RFPs often require actual employees, but a lot of cleaning businesses use subcontractor cleaners).

Check out our Google Maps scraper here to find local businesses in your focus areas: getcohesiveai.com

I also recommend hopping on SMB Twitter - there are a lot of cleaning business owners on Twitter in particular

DealStats, at the "BVR Transactions" icon at the top of the page provides closed deal data like sale price, multiples, and deal terms on business that have sold. You can search by NAICS code, key word, location and other fields. This data will help benchmark pricing. Let me know if you need any help searching or have any questions.
