Does anyone have experience buying RIAs?

I am interested in buying Registered Investment Advisors with $200MM to $1B in Assets Under Management. I am having difficulty finding RIAs for sale. Which are the best brokers to go through? Has anyone had experience approaching RIA owners and know what works.
