Does anyone have experience attending an ETA conference?

I would like the opportunity to network within the ETA community via a face-to-face conference. Has anyone attended one previously that you would recommend? Did you get any value out of it?

I’m in the SE US, but open to traveling to attend.

Meredith, its a good question and I had the same one before attending the Search Fund Conference in Dallas. The degree of usefulness depends on where you are in your search. If you are just starting out or still considering, its probably most beneficial as there are a lot of panels that can help you get information on general process and timeline expectation. If you are in the middle of your search, best practice exchange with those who are also in the middle of a search is probably the biggest benefit/takeaway. Networking at this stage is very useful. For those who have already closed a deal, I would say its less useful as most of the attendees are behind you in the process, but there could be things that you pick up on the periphery. I would reiterate what was said above except most of those mentioned were in the Fall (but are great for meeting and learning -personally attended HBS and Wharton last year). The Spring docket of upcoming academic and commercial conferences....
