Does anyone have experience adding wholesale to a DTC model

This might be off-topic for this website but at the moment I am working with a company that currently on sells only direct to the customer but is growing to the point where others are asking about being distributors for us. One problem we face is that a significant portion of the orders are custom-made and require interaction with the customer to get exact dimensions. Any guidance and this transition would be appreciated.

Thank you for all the responses. To make things easier here I'll put the the link to the website below. Most of the interest for distributors is on the architectural netting side of the business. Distributors could get measurements from clients which we would use to create the drawings needed for the architectural nets. The custom sailboats nets are two complicated and the customer needs to work directly with us.
