Hi Frederick, I have financed plenty of trucking companies and if you need financing, the biggest thing I can tell you that most brokers miss when they list the trucking company for sale is the CapEx. Don't confuse this with the repairs and maintenance, but on most trucking companies you need to look back 5 to 10 years and see what has been acquired and sold and then determine what you will need in the next 10 years and average that number. Once you know what that amount is, that becomes a negative addback and it will come right off of the SDE. Suffice it to say most sellers think that their trucking companies are worth far more than they are worth and 99% of the brokers out there that list them, don't come up with the correct valuation for the sales price.

^redacted‌ has recent experience with this. I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss his experiences.
