Does anyone have experience acquiring a franchisor?

Have a verbal offer accepted to acquire an operation where half the territories are corporate-owned and the other half are franchised to external operators. The income is a mix of the corporate-owned territories and royalty income from the franchisees.
We have acquired a (smaller) business before but understand that this is more complex. Would love to speak with anyone who has gone through this process and discuss diligence/risk items. Thank you SF community!
