Does anyone have any referrals for retained search in greater Boston?

As self-funded searcher, I am looking to increase deal flow. Interested in whether anyone has had success with engaging a retained search firm? Was your search successful? Generally speaking what is the typical fee structure? Lastly, is it better to have an Corp or LLC setup in advance?
