Does anyone has experience in acquiring a wealth mgmt practice in Canada?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if any of the fellow searchers have acquired a wealth management practice/firm in Canada outside of the wire-house (in-house banks and broker dealers) network. I would be keen to know the sources of deal flow and if there are any brokers who specialize in these kind of transactions. The idea is to have a deal flow which is diverse and is sourced from all broker-dealers rather than just one.

Also will be happy to learn about any trip-wires to avoid while negotiating and conducting due diligence on the deal.

Any insights/feedback will be highly appreciated.
