Of course, we all do. If you're looking for a quick windfall and immediate results best of luck. It sounds glamorous to acquire multiple businesses, build a team, scale to millions, exit, and realize your wildest dreams. Uhh, a little secret: It's a grind. Struggle is the law of growth.

From my experience, keep falling on your face, process the feedback, make adjustments and keep moving moving forward.

It is important to understand how to leverage on contacts in deal origination, it all depends on what you believe but as much as it is, there are ways to doing deal origination but beyond deal origination is the fact that many of the financials are filled with inflated figures which often stall sales of businesses.

Also, keep realistic expectations re: results. Buy-side origination is a low yield business, so be polite, persistent and don't take the rejection personally.
