Do specialised search investors in the USA invest in overseas search funds?

My business partner and I are currently conducting a self-funded search in Australia. We are curious if it would be worthwhile reaching out to specialised search fund investors in the USA once we find a deal and begin looking to raise capital.
Do US search fund investors typically only invest in the US or are they open to making offshore investments?

Hi ^redacted, nice to meet you on Searchfunder. There are three Traditional Search Funds in Australia (and a couple more at the fund raise stage) at the moment and all have some overseas investors (not just US).
