Do I need an MBA?

Hi all. I was wondering if it is an ironclad requirement to need an MBA to launch a search fund that isn't self funded?

Financing an MBA is something that isn't cheap and the main reason I'd do it is so I can eventually have a search fund. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

There is no requirement for entrepreneurship - an MBA degree can be beneficial to you, however, not haveing the degree should not deter you from your goal

You don't. Your investors are betting on the jockey. If you have previous operations experience you should be able to use that as your 'proof of concept'. However if you're still unsure, you can always find someone with an MBA to partner with you and fill in the gaps in both of your experiences.
