The Company: MedRevenu was founded in 2005 and acquired by Ohana Capital, a private investment group with permanent equity, in early[redacted]The new ownership has recruited a high-caliber CEO charged with professionalizing the operations in order to continue the rapid growth that the company has enjoyed since inception (20%+ CAGR). The company works with small and medium-sized physician practices across a range of specialties as their outsourced billing and collections manager. The purpose of the company is to maximize the revenue of its clients while collecting payments on their behalf in the shortest possible amount of time. The revenue cycle management ("RCM") process involves numerous complex workflows that allow best-in-class providers like MedRevenu to add material value to their clients' businesses. The business has 40 US-based staff as well as offshore operations in India and the Philippines. The Job: The Director of Special Projects is a full-time role designed to be a launchpad for someone still relatively early in their career that is looking for an opportunity to gain broad general management experience in a small company or who wishes to develop an inside view of entrepreneurship through acquisition (EtA, search funds, etc.). In this role you can expect to work on many different vital projects, collaborate closely with the CEO (Rajiv Tarigopula, a recent Stanford MBA and former Blackstone healthcare professional), and have a very broad scope of increasing responsibility as you develop knowledge of healthcare RCM. This is essentially a small business management apprenticeship where you will work closely with the CEO to develop priorities and new initiatives and then have a great deal of autonomy in carrying out those tasks to completion while also receiving mentorship from the CEO and members of the board of directors (we love coaching and developing younger professionals). After 2-3 years you will be well-positioned to: return to graduate school with deep operational experience, leverage the skills and network you've built to pursue your own small business acquisition, or continue on with MedRevenu in a senior role as we continue to grow in this essential, multi-billion dollar, and highly-fragmented sector of the healthcare industry. Example Projects: While the nature of the position is very dynamic and will shift with the ongoing priorities of the company, here is a sampling of the types of projects you might encounter: • Research no code/low code solutions and then build and integrate them into team workflows • Spearhead documentation of core workflows in order to identify improvements that will enhance efficiency and scalability • Create and update management reports and dashboards • Assist team members with IT issues or procuring office supplies (working in a small business isn't always glamorous!) • Work with the operations staff to determine training needs and assist in the development of relevant coursework • Help to scope and provide input into the development of new sales and marketing collateral (website, case studies, white papers, testimonials, etc.) • Help the CEO prepare board materials Ideal Candidate: • 1-4 years of professional experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical skills • Curiosity and ability to learn things quickly • High-agency (you find a way to get what you want, without waiting for conditions to be perfect or otherwise blaming the circumstances) • Strong attention to detail • Drive and focus on excellence, but also humility To Apply: Please submit your resume in PDF format to [redacted] using the following subject line: "[Your Name] - Director of Special Projects Candidate"
