What I love about the ETA space is the openness in the community. Nothing is more evidenced by the power of the local meetup.
And, having a mindset of abundance will unlock more connections and conversations than anything else.
Case in point: In 12 months, the Denver ETA group has grown from zero... to 600.
Giving, sharing, learning.
Throughout this last year:
✅ We've had 12 events. The first had less than ten people. Now, we see###-###-#### attendees every month.
✅ We've had 5-panels since May, sharing real wins and losses of the ETA path.
✅ I've had over 100 lunches, coffees, and calls with this community. Some were new to search; others were grizzled veterans. And I can't forget the lenders, attorneys, and brokers who contribute so much to ETA.
✅ I've reviewed 200+ companies for searchers, with multiple closes along the way. Site visits, financial reviews, and seller calls.
But why, right? Why do this at all?
At another coffee last week, I was asked just this.
➡️ My primary goal is to create an environment where as many people as possible can be successful in this journey.
➡️ Secondarily, I want to create a group of friends and fellow entrepreneurs who can lean into each other when needed and enjoy the rewards this challenging journey can produce.
A ski trip to the mountains, anyone? Boat trip to the BVIs? Tacos in Mexico?
➡️ Last, but not least, is the opportunity to be involved. Investing, acquiring, and being IN the game. Nothing quite like it.
And we're just getting started. Searching and operating doesn't have to be lonely. Your tribe exists.
