Delegation in the digital age of selling

It's interesting how doing in-person meetings and cold calls was commonplace in the past. Yet nowadays, lots of mid-level sales are digital social selling. Yet the higher levels of salespeople still operate largely on an in-person and cold call-based strategy, with the digital side of their selling efforts simply being outsourced. I guess an in-person meeting will never be replaced. The more things change, the more they seem to stay the same.
