Debt financing for small self-funded deal in Canada

What debt financing options are there for a self-funded search in Canada, who is looking at lower lower middle market deals (<$500k SDE, <$1.5MM purchase price)?

I have spoken to some of the big 5 and it seems like this deal size is too small for their commercial lending arms, while their small business banking operations are focused more on asset-based lending. Would appreciate some pointers.
