Dealflow software

Everyone always mentions dealflow and CRM but I have found some software geared towards managing dealflow. Does anybody have any experience with such software? Is CRM just as good?

We use Fundstack - a PE/VC system - although they're shortly rebranding to a more generalist CRM style under the name Attio. We like the way it flows, although for a searcher the fact the CRM focuses on domain based emails may be a problem, as plenty of owners prefer to use their personal rather than company emails for these types of discussions to avoid anyone else in the company accidentally seeing such conversations taking place
