Hi - I am looking to bring on a deal sourcing associate intern details below. About Choose Capital Choose Capital is a holding company focused on acquiring and operating cash-flowing online businesses. Founded in May 2024, we've already completed our first acquisition, a profitable email newsletter in the precious metals niche, and are actively seeking to acquire our second asset as a cash buyer. Role Overview We're seeking a proactive and analytical Deal Sourcing Intern to help identify and qualify acquisition opportunities that match our investment criteria. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in M&A, entrepreneurship, and learning the ins and outs of business acquisitions firsthand. Specifically, great for a college student going down the IB/PE track looking for some extra "umph" to have in their toolkit and throw on their resume. Key Responsibilities • Source deal flow across online marketplaces and broker networks • Screen opportunities against Choose Capital's investment criteria (cash flow, valuation multiples, business model, etc.) • Create deal summaries for promising opportunities, highlighting key financials and strategic fit • Conduct initial outreach to sellers and brokers to gauge interest and gather preliminary information • Maintain pipeline of active opportunities and update deal status regularly • Research industries and niches to identify undervalued or emerging opportunities • Support due diligence by organizing financial documents and tracking key data points Ideal Candidate • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field • Strong analytical skills with comfort working with financial statements and Excel • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent communication skills • Experience building & leveraging AI for bespoke use cases • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities • Interest in M&A, entrepreneurship, small business, and/or online business models Bonus: Familiarity with online business models (newsletters, SaaS, content sites, etc.) What You'll Get Out of This • How to evaluate acquisition opportunities using key financial metrics • Due diligence processes for online business acquisitions • Deal structuring (cash, seller notes, earnouts) • How to position yourself as a credible buyer in competitive situations • Real-world M&A experience with hands-on involvement • Access to my network for full time placement upon graduation • (Dependent on acquisition) potential to work at TargetCo post-close on a paid basis Compensation & Logistics • Part-time, flexible hours • Remote position • Compensation: UNPAID; however, potential for performance bonuses on closed deals. This is really for someone hungry for a clear mandate and hands on experience to give them a competitive edge for entry level IB/PE positions. Apply Here: https://forms.gle/FW6UyPJjeBEAPCAw5
