Deal Evaluation Workshop: Buying A (Fictional) Landscaping Business
redacted Our 2nd Quarter Nashville ETA event was a hands-on Deal Evaluation Workshop built around one big question: How do you know whether a small business acquisition is actually a good deal? Instead of a traditional presentation, we worked through a fictional landscaping business and evaluated it the way buyers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and advisors would in the real world. The key lesson: a deal rarely stays as clean as it looked at first glance. But once diligence starts, you have to decide whether each new issue changes the fundamentals of the business - or if you *and your advisors* can find an amenable structure for both buyer and seller. Thank you to Matt Matthews with Old National Bank for helping lead the discussion, and thank you to everyone who joined us for another strong Nashville ETA event.
