We mostly used Google Drive / Folder, but
1. When you need to share some "sections" of a document or more likely "not share financials / valuation" section with other team members, it does not let you do that. 2. When the management team of the company is more old school, they prefer to email documents to you or worse "give you a printed copy" - I have had this even in 2024. 3. Rescinding document access for local copy / create a copy is hard with Google docs.
We are using DropBox for a few, which have these constraints.

At Spaceheater.ai we worked on a concept that would allow users to upload or link specific data (via API endpoints) to then expose for another user in a limited capacity within a private llm (AI) environment. Parties could also leverage their own proprietary data in conjunction with the shared data within their own sphere of privacy. I had initially thought to use it in b2b relationships, but hearing you mention it here, I’m curious if this sounds like something that would give a lot of value in the M&A space. Would love to hear any feedback. If there’s enough interest, I could share a beta for testing.
