How are investors thinking about the current macro environment (high inflation, high interest rates and imminent recession), specifically for new search investments? Would be helpful to get hints from searchers raising in this environment and perhaps investors willing to share. Thanks

I suspect quite a few are waiting to pounce on opportunities to arise from businesses that extended themselves with cheap capital over last few years. Most of them probably have personal guarantees at the sub $10m range. PE has this problem but has solved with secondary funds. The below-PE market will become a big opportunity as asset prices start to revert to mean. That’s my 2 cents, which shortly will be 1 cent….
