Hi,

I'm curious as to what CRMS other searchers are using and recommend.

Do most other searchers even have a need for a CRM, or are spreadsheets good enough?

I'm also using the free version of Hubspot. I'd definitely recommend it over using spreadsheets, because of the complexity of managing many-to-many relationships with the data you need to track (for example, I might want to associate a single broker with multiple deals). Hubspot will require some minimal set up as you familiarize yourself with the tool and then you'll quickly start seeing benefits. I use it to (1) manage all contacts (brokers, sellers/owners, investors, etc.), (2) track meeting notes and outstanding questions I have for contacts, and (3) progress identified deals through a custom deal pipeline. It has gmail integration as well, which is nice.

I have used Notion and found it to be very effective for tracking deals-- status, to dos, next steps, and contact info etc. It's free customizable, and easy to use. I use Notion as my personal productivity software so it made sense for me. Notion may not be the best option if you have a sales background and are looking to do more advanced sales automation, tracking, metrics, automated emails. Something like Pipedrive may be more suitable as others have noted. Kinda depends on how you want to use it. If you are starting with a spreadsheet, I think you will find Notion a nice upgrade and much more productive.
