Hi, we are exiting our current business and just getting started with acquisitions and wanted to gain some insight in other people's experience so we can avoid some mistakes.

Ready to pay for an hour zoom call.

Thank you!

Hi ^redacted‌. You have access to some well-experienced and relevant people above. Healthcare is typically a locally-regulated (i.e., at the state or provincial level) activity and markets tend to be local/regional at the start-up stage (different from ecommerce which has fewer limitations). As a result, the value of the advice you receive is often influenced in that regard. You're in California, so it depends on the geographies you're interested in. I've been involved in more than 40 healthcare acquisitions over the last 14 years as an advisor, buyer and operator across multiple verticals (dental, veterinary, optometry, home health care) in Canada and the U.S. with Total Enterprise Value over $100 Million. [Thanks for including me, ^redacted‌.]

Thank you for the comments everyone. A bit more context here:

We are basically looking to understand what sub segment to go after initially that is not too overcrowded and is still growing and where we can use our skills in advertising to grow the businesses faster.

My business partner and I have built 2 ecommerce companies to over 8 figures in yearly revenue each. But we think that ecommerce is not the strongest business model to create a long term, stable $100M+ company.

Both of us were always keeping an eye on m&a for a time and we feel that this is the right path for us at the right time.

So since there are generous people out there like you, we thought it would be a good idea to talk to others and see how we can avoid some of the well traversed pitfalls.
