Considering A Search _ Pre-Search Activities

For prospective searchers, how should we approach time allocation to pre-seller outreach activities such as industry thesis/ search strategy, capital raising, legal documents, anything related to the pre-search phase versus jumping into developing a seller list and contacting sellers to see if searching is a good fit for the prospect?

It took us a couple of months to really get all our ducks in a row, but we did those pre-seller activities at the same time as just jumping in with brokers to get some traction before going on the more proprietary side of things

I think it is worth speaking to as many people as possible to work out a method that works for you
