For those who have purchased companies that are several states away but who have not moved, how often do you visit? For those who have purchased remote companies, do you have any in-person staff gatherings and if so, how often? I'm considering buying a company that become remote about a year ago, but whose staff are still fairly centrally located. I'm trying to figure out the best strategy to connect with staff.

Great question, curating morale on virtual teams is key. At a bare minimum I’d say you need a standing team call and then let your managers have their own team calls with their immediate teams. This allows for the team to feel engaged on key priorities and meet with their leads to discuss more granular topics.
