Looking for details surrounding any common mistakes people have made during the sourcing process that could have been easily avoided. Any and all answers appreciated. Thanks!

Directly contacting business owners (unless they’re represented by a broker) is what’s worked best for my clients, for decades. (It’s a good way to avoid costly buyer competition.) How to Prepare Yourself and Find the Right Business to Buy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/###-###-####

Not warming up your leads. I think for many people the idea of acquisition is scary. I am currently trying something much warmer or softer. Like "investing" in their company or helping them run advertising free of charge, anything that gets the relationship built before asking for full acquisition
