Has anyone here acquired, operated, or diligenced commercial printing equipment distributors / dealer businesses — particularly in wide-format printing (signage, wraps, wall coverings, finishing equipment, etc.)?
I’m trying to get smarter on OEM/dealer dynamics in the space and would love perspectives from anyone with firsthand experience. A few areas I’m especially trying to understand:
* How durable OEM/dealer relationships tend to be in practice
* How transferable agreements typically are in an acquisition/change-of-control scenario
* Common reasons dealers cancel distribution agreements
* Typical terms and competitive dynamics / constraints stipulated in agreements
