I'm a former searcher who recently acquired a direct mail and printing business. I remember the frustration of spending hours crafting the "perfect" personalized email only to face silence, rude responses, or unqualified leads. It was disheartening and inefficient.
Here's what I learned: Many business owners, especially those nearing retirement, don't respond well to cold emails. They're likely to delete them without a second thought.
My recommendation is to develop a list of high-priority targets in your desired industries, size range, and geography. Then, send them highly personalized mail pieces. Here's why:
