SMB Climate invests in small businesses that drive climate impact and top-tier financial returns. We lead deals with EBITDA $2M to $10M and invest in self-funded searchers with climate-related deals with EBITDA $500K to $2M.
Typical check sizes for our self-funded investments range from ~$50K to $150K+. The business must have a product or service that reduces customers' carbon footprint. Many companies satisfy this criterion since the climate touches many aspects of our economy and only a portion of a company’s suite of products needs to be carbon reducing (see below for representative examples of qualifying climate-related companies).
If you have a deal under LOI and would like an investor with 15 years of climate experience on your cap table, please reach out to redacted I am also open to talking with entrepreneurs that are passionate about the climate and seek leadership positions (e.g. GM/CEO) within acquired climate-related companies.
