Childcare Transaction Multiples in Australia

Hi there - I am looking to make an offer for a childcare business in Australia (long daycare and OSHC). We’ve built a great relationship with the owners and want to make them a data-backed offer.

Does anyone have any information on typical transaction multiples (and tangible deals we could reference)? Would love a chat where possible!

Hey there! BVR's DealStats database is primarily US but still a great source for benchmarking and market comps. I'm finding the median EBITDA multiple to be about 3.8x. Here is a link to the dataset for you to check out.

3.5x smaller sites (400 ish kids) to 5.5x for 2k up is a rough rough swag. I sold a childcare business
