Chief Executive Officer @ Niche Hardware Manufacturer in SoCal

About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to lead a niche manufacturing business in the Greater Los Angeles Area. This person (the “CEO”) will work closely with the Company’s private equity sponsor to implement, modify, and improve an already-developed plan that will drive near-term profitable growth. As CEO, this individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s operations, including Operations, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Marketing/Product Management. About the Company Project Light designs and markets mission critical power supplies and transformers for the LED lighting industry, primarily in the U.S. and Canada. The Company provides its best-in-class hardware to regional distributors and lighting fixture manufacturers who in turn use them in residential and commercial applications. Customers turn to Project Light when quality is a must and failure is not an option. The Company has been in operation for 10+ years and is backed by an independent private equity sponsor. We are looking for an individual who: • Has demonstrated leadership experience • Is methodical, cash-flow minded, and moves with a sense of urgency • Is non-hierarchical and can operate / lead a lean organization • Is interested in building a high-performing team and culture • Is willing to travel to meet with key clients and/or suppliers • Can build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders • Is based in the Greater Los Angeles area or willing to relocate Nice-to-haves would include: • Experience in technical leadership roles • Experience working with and/or in private equity Other specifics: • Title: Chief Executive Officer • Reports to: Board of Directors • Base compensation: $190,000-$210,000 • Bonus potential: $100,000+ (based on revenue and EBITDA achievement) • Eligible for equity award: Yes, based on discussions with sponsor • Location: Irvine, California • Remote position: No • Relocation stipend: If required, up to $10,000 • Target start date: As soon as possible / practical
