Hi everyone, I'm looking to understand the environment of investors in the Charlotte to Raleigh region that focus on diversity, equity, and environmental sustainability in their investment strategies.
I am a new searcher currently going self-funded and am beginning to explore seeking investors. Specifically, I have a few targeted questions that should help start a conversation:
How would an investor perceive the objective of making companies employee owned (not an ESOP)?
How much appetite is there for longer term investments with strong ESG priorities###-###-#### years)?
How would an investor respond to creating employee board representation on the acquired company's board?
Is the pool of available investors significantly smaller for investments with these objectives?
What industries do these investors prioritize, if any, in the Carolinas region?
Thank you all for your insights and really appreciate this community!
