Change formation state through merger process

Looking to learn more about changing formation state or C-Corp using the merger process. Since NY does not have domestication laws the only option, if we would continuity for the entity (maintain FEIN, bank accounts, existing agreements, etc.), appears to be the merger approach. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
