Hi! People who recently bought a company. Do you typically use Excel or specific software to manage AP&AR and optimize cash flow? If software, which one?

I wouldn't go for an ERP until you are fairly large. Quickbooks should work fine until then. ERPs are complex and expensive, and a pain to implement. Unless you need one, your time and money is better spent elsewhere

QBO works fine for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) without needing to invest heavily in a software like Netsuite. All the same, investigate it and ensure whoever is going to help you install it has the knowledge and experience in setting up the chart of accounts in the way you want information from your accounts.
