I've seen a few interesting private cannabis deals of late. As some cannabis markets continue to implode, I imagine that opportunities will get more interesting. Any folks on here look at cannabis deals?

I personally invested in a private fully licensed vertically integrated medical and recreational cannabis company in Michigan that is looking for additional accredited equity investors or debt lenders to continue expanding. Company is pre-approved at the state level for licenses to Grow, Process, and operate retail Provisioning Centers (Dispensary) and owns multiple locations free and clear around the state that are properly zoned at the local level and just need to be built out. This is key, as the local city/townships are limiting the amount and types of licenses they will allow and where they can be located. So, there are a limited number of licenses and property sites available which will limit competition. Company is currently generating revenue and operating a grow, processing lab and a dispensary location projecting significant profit in 2020 and beyond.
If anyone is interested send me an email at redacted with your contact information, and I can put you in direct contact with the company’s CEO. Note: I am just an investor in the company, and I am not acting as a broker or charging any fees/points, etc. I am providing an introduction only, do your own due diligence. Direct Lenders and Accredited investors only.

I tried twice and things feel through. I would suggest to steer away from the supply side. It's the portion of the supply chain that can be quickly commoditized. As regulations open, supply will quickly flow from state to state, and potentially from outside the country, and that'll yield a massive supply glut (on top the the glut internal to the US). Latin American literally has hundreds of thousands of acres ready to be converted from flower and plant facilities to cannabis. As for the product side, branding seems to be a lot of what drives value, but be careful there too, given that it may be a difficult route to national brand recognition. I would equate it with the coffee industry, in which people like to change things up and try different coffee roasters. That said, a few coffees have gained wide distribution and are likely doing very well.

Good luck!
