Looking to connect with Canadians that have acquired US-based companies and moved to the US. Would like to understand what your experience was in terms of logistics, immigration (particularly those with families), debt financing and other challenges.

Please drop me a note / comment if you have any insight.

Chris

Worth exploring investor visas (E2 and EB5) and the talent visas like O1, EB1a and EB2 NIW as well. We have had success working with entrepreneurs on these categories. No issues with ownership besides E2 visa. I did an interview with a Canadian a while back who bought a business on the E2 visa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGSmi2NI9hY

He did not go through the SBA route (need to work at business for a year already as a non-green card holder) but obtain financing through a Canadian lender. I understand it was easier in the past.

Hi ^redacted‌ We have been to the LOI stage but not acquired, yet.

SBA is generally tricky without a green card (I am on an E2 visa). Some challenges, but if you are persistent, there are ways to make it happen. Happy to talk more in DMs.
