can you buy a small company with independent sponsor model

getting started in the space ... was wondering how small can you go for a first acquisition? 500k revenue? or less even?

also curious if anyone has used mainshares platform for independent sponsor deals and their experience

Short answer? Yes I’ve done it 3 times… it 100% has drawbacks but allows you to avoid institutional investors which can be a great source of capital but does come with a lot more red tape

You will not earn anything out of these small deals unless you consolidate a whole bunch of those. so I am unsure why you want to do a small deal as IS when you can do a searchfund straight deal.
