Can hiring data Help identify better acquisition targets?
Hi all, posting this on behalf of a colleague. He's launching a company that keeps a daily record of what companies are hiring for, pulled straight from their own career pages: ~42,000 companies so far. He noticed it says more about a business than he expected, and he's curious whether it’s useful for finding or screening acquisition targets.
Here’s what you can see for a given company:
1) When hiring picks up, or goes quiet
2) Which roles sit open for months or keep getting reposted
3) Seniority, scope and location of the role
4) Company industry, founded year, and employee count
5) For a specific industry or thesis, a closer read: insights on what the company seems to be building toward
If you’re looking at a particular industry, region, or thesis, let me know and I’ll put you touch.
