Cambridge MBA Looking to Raise a UK Traditional Search Fund

by a searcher from University of Cambridge in Cambridge, UK
Hi Everyone,
I’m launching Munger Longview Partners, a UK-focused, traditional solo search fund, and I’m beginning the search capital raise.
Fund overview
Munger Longview Partners is targeting the acquisition and long-term operation of one founder-led UK B2B services or software business with the following profile:
- Exposed to a structurally growing, non-discretionary industry
- £1–7.5m EBITDA
- >15% EBITDA Margin
- ≥50% recurring or repeat revenue
- Asset-light model with maintenance capex <3% of revenue
- Strong cash conversion (>80% EBITDA → FCF)
The search is industry-agnostic, with an initial focus on structurally resilient, non-discretionary sectors such as insurance brokerage, fire & safety, compliance services, facilities services, vertical SaaS, document management, and select healthcare services. Explicit exclusions include heavy manufacturing, cyclicals, and commodity exposed industries.
Background
I’m a graduate of Bocconi University currently reading for an MBA at the University of Cambridge and have prior experience across investing, financial services, and operating roles.
Who I’m looking to connect with
- Search fund investors and family offices
- Individuals with experience backing ETA structures
- Fellow searchers willing to share insights from their search or operating experience

On the name: Munger Longview is a nod to one of my heroes, Charlie Munger, and a simple philosophy: think long term, avoid leverage you don’t need, don’t chase clever deals, and only allocate capital where the returns are obvious.
