I have found a very nice company in the UK & am at the exact stage of the search process I have no experience. The M&A part.

I have completed vendor and commercial due diligence for much larger deals - it is the mechanics I am thinking about getting support. The ideal situation would be involved with a search accelerator, but failing that how might the community consider navigating the steps between "finding a deal" and "completing a deal".

I do get it, one can just do this completely independently.. It seems to me worth the time and money to get a bit more experience, thoughtfulness and frankly testing my own day-to-day stupidity. It is a bigger deal - £3-4M EBITDA and the owners has suggested he sees the business in the £15M range.

Hey there! Your situation sounds exciting. Handling M&A mechanics can be daunting. Consider connecting with a partner or seeking online resources for step-by-step guidance. It's smart to have a partner with experience before diving into a bigger deal. Best of luck!

You might also feel comfortable with having a discussion with one of your previous university professors that is knowledgeable in M&A. He/she might be able to guide you some what and you also have some familiarity with the individual.
