I’ve been considering engaging a company to help with proprietary search.

Who has direct personal experience with a firm?

Can you message me direct to hear you experience?

Please no self promotion.

^redacted‌.. it boils down to what type of business you're looking to potentially acquire. You can indeed do that yourself but it does take time. If you've never done it before just make sure to research the proper questions to ask so you have more confidence in finding that 'correct business' you'd like to acquire. So the real question is how much do you value your time and insights from someone who's in the trenches doing it full time. If you can find someone who focuses on your niche then I would reco at least having a conversation to learn more. Hope that helps.

When you say “company for propietary search” do you mean a buy side broker?

I am planning on engaging a buy side broker but basically because I am looking in a very specific segment, where I know the firm has very unique and strong connections, and I think that it would save me a lot of time.

There is an Acquiring Minds episode on using buy side brokers which has good insight, just in case.
