Does anyone has seen a difference in acquiring business abroad compared to locally? I am in France currently looking for deals in UK & US.

A big question is whether you are planning to relocate yourself or the business. If the former, you need to worry about language and legal system differences (common law vs civil law, etc.) and the visa process, but the latter opens a whole other can of worms with respect to international taxation (as ^redacted‌ points out). As a bonus, for Americans, they get to deal with the international tax issues whether or not they decide to relocate.

I think there are several factors that make it harder to acquire abroad. There was a recent episode on acquiring minds with a guy that bought a UK business but lives in Switzerland.
For what reasons did you decide to search in the US and UK instead of france / or belgium & switzerland (also french speaking)
