Hi Team I come from Software engineering background (although I have a Mechanical engineering degree). But I want to get into to HVAC business. So currently I am exploring existing HVAC business in the market. Regardign licensing -> My plan was to provide some equity to the existing Master technician within the acquiring business and retain the license. If that does not work out the other option was to bring an outside Technician with license join my acquired company and provide some equity so that i could retain the license to operate the business. Couple of HVAC brokers I reached out on the listing mentioned the licensing model is complicated and we want to focus on buyers who already have a company (or license). I hope I might not be the only one with non HVAC background aspiring to own HVAC company. What have others (with non HVAC background) done to acquire HVAC business.
