Buying a company that has union employees
Does anyone here have experience with purchasing a company with union employees? Outside of Collective bargaining agreements, what should I be looking out for?

Mark, I was looking at something similar recently, and I would be happy to connect since it does come up a fair amount I would also welcome any other comments from individuals on this topic.

Request the past 3 years of grievance logs. They’ll reveal recurring friction points and how flexible (or rigid) the union-management relationship is. Also, don’t underestimate the importance of “past practices”—even if they aren’t clearly stated in the contract, arbitrators often treat them as binding norms.
