de Laurent Partners is an emerging independent sponsor focused on sourcing, evaluating, and executing small business acquisitions. We are seeking a part time intern to work directly with the founder on live deals and the day to day work of building an acquisition platform.
This is a hands on role for someone interested in private equity, search funds, entrepreneurship through acquisition, and lower middle market M&A. The intern will get direct exposure to how deals are sourced, assessed, negotiated, diligenced, and advanced toward closing.
Role responsibilities
You will support a range of work across sourcing, evaluation, and execution, including industry research, investment thesis development, broker and owner outreach, NDA processing, CIM review, LOI and purchase agreement review, diligence coordination, and financial modeling. You may also help prepare internal memos, lender materials, and investor facing summaries.

This role is best suited for someone who is highly organized, analytical, resourceful, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment with limited structure. Strong writing, sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail are essential. Familiarity with Excel and basic financial analysis is preferred. Prior exposure to finance, consulting, accounting, legal work, or transaction related work is helpful but not required.
