Hello Searchfunder community,
I'm a self-funded solo searcher in New Orleans looking to acquire a ~500K SDE small business using a SBA 7a loan. I'm looking to put together a group of up to 5 folks in a similar situation to meet virtually as a cohort every two weeks and to create a WhatsApp group chat for brainstorming, moral support, learning exchange, dumb questions, etc.

Cohort characteristics:

Post or message me if you're interested, and look forward to learning, growing, and buying a small business together!

3/29 Update - thanks for all the responses! I have started the small group. Will reach back out to those that I haven't responded to if someone drops off - big thanks to everyone that showed interest and I'll try to post periodic updates on my personal journey here as well. Thanks.

All, It has been over a year since I began pursuing ETA. I have learned so much and am thankful for this community, specifically Mark, Charlie, and Rabbiya, with whom I now consider lifelong friends. After 1.5 LOIs falling through (one during due diligence where revenue was discovered to be inflated by 10%, decreasing net income by almost 50% and a seller unwilling to re-trade; and one where LOI terms were agreed verbally but rejected on paper) I am moving on and likely back to corporate America. As someone who doesn't like to quit, I have come to the realization that the reason this is so difficult is because so much of it is out of my control. Alas, I chose to make no deal instead of a bad deal. Thanks
